9 Fashion Rental Companies In London | Roberta Lee

Your ultimate guide to fashion rental in London and the UK. You’ve got events in the diary, Wimbledon, weddings, and award nights — and nothing in your wardrobe feels quite right. The good news? You don’t need to buy a new outfit. You just need to think smarter, have some fun playing dress up and rent your next look.

Fashion rentals in London (and across the UK) are thriving, and these platforms aren’t just about borrowing a dress—they’re part of a much bigger sustainable fashion movement. I’ve pulled together my go-to list, with a breakdown of who each platform is best for, what brands they carry, their sustainability creds, and where they ship to.

Rent Fashion Smarter

Fashion rentals are an amazing way to experiment with your style, extend the life of clothes already in circulation, and reduce your impact on the planet. But let’s not sugarcoat it—fashion rental in the UK can be hit and miss.

You might order something that looks dreamy online… only for it to arrive and the fit is off. Been there. Not all platforms offer a “try before you pay” service, and very few allow returns unless there’s a genuine issue, so it can feel like a risk. Some brands offer credits if you don’t wear the item, but a true fit guarantee? Rare.

That’s why I always recommend planning your outfits, working with a stylist (hi!), and knowing which fashion rental platforms are best for you, what brands work best with your body, your calendar, and your wardrobe. Renting works best when it’s part of a bigger strategy, not a last-minute panic move.

One more tip: I never recommend renting shoes. Aside from the foot sweat (let’s be real), shoes mould to the shape of someone else’s foot. If you’ll be on your feet all day for events like Wimbledon, Ascot, or weddings, wear your own shoes. For shoots, Awards, premieres and galas, footwear rental is less risky.

Need help planning your rental looks?

Whether it’s for corporate dressing, sustainable wedding guest outfits, or building a strategy around your annual event calendar, utilising rental and your own wardrobe, I’ve got you covered.

I offer:

  • One-off SOS Online Event Styling Consultations – ideal if you’ve been invited to a last-minute event like a red-carpet event, a ticket to Wimbledon, an important gala or even a milestone birthday coming up.
  • Ongoing Style SOS – my subscription service for clients who want me in their back pocket (virtually), ready to give fast feedback and styling ideas
