CUURVE Brand Review – Sustainable Luxury Underwear  | Roberta Lee

AD | If you’ve been on the hunt for sustainable luxury underwear that looks elegant, feels like a second skin, and lasts – CUURVE might just be what your top drawer’s been missing.

CUURVE creates exceptional women’s underwear using the world’s finest sustainable materials, handcrafted in Yorkshire for professional women who refuse to compromise on quality or comfort.

I’ve spent the past 2 months wearing and washing three of their core pieces: The Sleek Sophie, The Cosy Charlotte and The Elevated Emma – and I’m genuinely impressed by both the comfort and the craftsmanship. These aren’t your average basics.

This is a paid-for review. However, as with everything I share on my blog, it’s honest, independent, and based on real-life wear-testing. I never accept compensation in exchange for a positive review.

It’s not often that I get genuinely excited about underwear, but CUURVE caught my attention immediately. Their promise? Sustainable luxury underwear made to last, and designed for women who value comfort and quality. They believe quality isn’t just about materials; it’s about creating pieces that truly enhance a woman’s daily life.

Tried & Tested: CUURVE’s Sustainable Luxury Underwear

Let’s be honest: finding underwear that ticks all the boxes is rare. Most fall into one of two camps: beautiful but uncomfortable, or practical but uninspiring. Add in sustainability, and things get even trickier.

CUURVE positions itself as a premium brand offering sustainable luxury underwear for women who don’t want to compromise. They use certified materials like ECONYL® regenerated nylon and Austrian Micromodal, and everything is handmade in the UK.

I’ve done quite a few underwear reviews over the years, so I know what I am looking for when I’m rating it.

I was given the following products to review:

  • The Sleek Sophie in Midnight Navy (shown above – top left)
  • The Cosy Charlotte in Midnight Navy (shown above – middle)
  • The Elevated Emma in Midnight Navy (shown above – right)

All were received in Late July and tested until mid-September, over 8+ weeks of washing (in the wash bag – in the washing machine) and wearing. And I am happy to report they still look brand new.

CUURVE Ethical Underwear: Fabric, Fit and Packaging

CUURVE ethical underwear Unboxing by Roberta Lee

CUURVE makes a great first impression. The packaging is minimal but elegant, plastic-free, and felt considered. There’s a sense of premium, without waste.

The moment I touched the fabrics, I could tell they were high quality. The Micromodal is smooth, cool and breathable; the ECONYL® has a gentle stretch but retains shape perfectly. These aren’t just pretty pieces – they feel engineered for comfort. I couldn’t get over how flimsy my other underwear felt in comparison. Fit-wise, I went a size bigger than my usual size (S for Charlotte, M for Sophie and Emma).
The sizing was almost right, I’d say, for the high-waisted briefs I could have sized down. Everything felt secure, comfortable, and flattering – no digging in, no awkward seams, no scratchy tags.

I am hyper-sensitive about the fit and compression on my skin, and I normally always size up my underwear to avoid uncomfortable pinching, not to mention VPL bulges! Just be aware CUURVE sizing is generous.

Wearing CUURVE: Comfort for Everyday Luxury Underwear

This is where CUURVE shines. I wore the underwear through busy workdays, styling sessions, long-haul travel, and even while lounging at home. And not once did I find myself adjusting or itching to take it off.

When I spoke to Aileen, the founder, about my experience, she concurred, saying, “Women with sensitive skin, including those who wear compression garments daily, have praised CUURVE for being soft and non-restrictive.”  I can understand – and I agree.

These undies aren’t designed to be saved for best – they are beautiful and practical. There is something rather special about the underwear you choose to wear – given it’s hidden, it’s really about the message you send to yourself when you get dressed, that’ll do or I feel special in this.

The Sleek Sophie is ideal for everyday wear, offering full coverage and a lace back. My favourite style of the two briefs I tested – this style was more suited to my body shape.

The Cosy Charlotte is my other favourite: soft, breathable, perfect for lounging in. These were great during the heatwave – and for just relaxing in with a jumper. Very versatile indeed.

The Elevated Emma offers gentle shaping and gives a smooth silhouette under clothes.

This pair was lovely but didn’t fit me as well as I hoped, purely down to the design length not being a good match for my shorter torso. I should have ordered a side down to get the full effect of the compression and shaping as well. I still found these incredibly comfortable, though – and they will not be wasted.

Luxury Underwear You Can Put In the Washing Machine

After multiple washes over 8+ weeks, I can confirm every single piece still looks and feels new. No sagging. No pilling. I used my wash bag to ensure they did not snag on anything in the machine, which is key to preserving delicates. Being machine washable meant I was able to enjoy wearing them more often – busy women don’t have time to handwash their underwear, it’s actually quite an inconvenience – so this is a game-changer for me.

CUURVE underwear promises high-quality, durable, sustainable lingerie, and so far, it lives up to it.

How CUURVE’s Ethical Underwear Stands Out From the Crowd

CUURVE ethical and sustainable underwear for real women |

I’ve tested dozens of sustainable underwear brands over the years. Many talk the talk, but very few deliver on the quality and longevity. Whilst many of my past reviews have been about underwear sets, CUURVE has launched with a smaller range, focusing on just 2 styles of briefs and 1 pair of shorts.

What makes CUURVE’s ethical underwear different is its uncompromising approach:

  • The comfort-first design that doesn’t compromise on style
  • No scratchy tags at the back.
  • Machine washable!
  • There’s a transparent supply chain and traceable materials
  • You pay a fair price for pants stitched by skilled garment specialists in Yorkshire.
  • They use premium certified fabrics like ECONYL® and OEKO-TEX 100
  • There aren’t a zillion different products to overwhelm – instead, expect to see considered capsule releases
  • It is a slow and conscious brand that chooses to do business in a better way, rather than cutting corners and exploiting people or the planet.

This isn’t underwear made for just Instagram aesthetics. It’s made for women who work, live, move, and demand more from what they wear – and I love that.

As I have mentioned, I have very sensitive skin, and I cannot cope with any discomfort at all when it comes to my pants! CUURVE’s underwear has been nothing but comfortable throughout the 8+ weeks of testing.

Underwear Made With Sustainable Materials and British Craftsmanship

CUURVE’s material choices are as impressive as their construction:

  • ECONYL® – regenerated nylon made from ocean waste
  • Micromodal – from sustainably managed beech forests
  • Organic elastics – containing natural rubber for comfort

Everything is crafted in Yorkshire, which not only supports local production but also significantly reduces the brand’s carbon footprint. It’s a powerful nod to the revival of British textile heritage.

The Story Behind CUURVE – A Brand Born from Frustration

CUURVE founder Aileen | creator of sustainable luxury underwear brand

CUURVE was founded by Aileen Gana, a busy professional who experienced the same frustrations many of us share – constantly replacing poor-quality underwear that didn’t hold its shape, didn’t fit properly, and quickly lost its comfort.

“I’d spend money on what seemed like quality pieces, only to replace them months later. I realised there was a gap in the market for truly exceptional underwear – pieces made with the world’s finest materials that would actually last years, not months.”

Aileen Gana Founder of CUURVE Quote _ Sustainable Luxury Underwear Brand

That desire for better led to CUURVE’s creation: a premium brand offering truly sustainable underwear for women who demand more. The brand is driven by Aileen’s core belief in uncompromising quality – not just in materials, but in everything from sourcing and fit to construction and customer experience. She goes on to say:

“Every decision we make – from sourcing Austrian Micromodal to partnering with Yorkshire artisans – is driven by the belief that exceptional comfort and craftsmanship should be the standard, not the exception.”

This philosophy is felt in every detail of CUURVE’s collection. For Aileen, creating better underwear isn’t just about fashion; it’s about giving women garments that support their lifestyle and values.

“You shouldn’t have to wax or change your body for your underwear; your underwear should work perfectly with your body exactly as you are.”

Her goal? Underwear that lasts, feels like a second skin, and makes everyday dressing feel effortless, beautiful, and empowered.

Is CUURVE Worth It? A Price-Per-Wear Perspective

At £75–£95 per piece, that’s less than a coffee per month if worn for 3+ years

CUURVE sits in the mid-price point investment category. If you prioritise quality, longevity, aesthetics, fit and ethical values, it almost becomes impossible to find basic, comfortable underwear for everyday use that ticks all the boxes.

Conclusion: CUURVE Delivers on Everyday Sustainable Luxury Underwear

Underwear is personal. And yet, it’s often the last thing we upgrade in our wardrobes – we wait until things don’t fit or they are falling apart. CUURVE invites us to start there. To invest in pieces that align with our bodies and our values.

This brand proves that sustainable luxury underwear doesn’t have to be basic or boring. It can be elegant, elevated and incredibly comfortable. I cannot recommend this brand enough. CUURVE absolutely delivers on everyday sustainable luxury underwear.

My favourite items are the Cosy Charlotte shorts, as they are perfect for lounging around in, and the Sleek Sophie low-rise briefs. Although advertised as no VPL, I did notice that the fabric texture was slightly visible underneath my lighter clothes.

I’ll be reaching for these pieces again and again. They’ve earned their place in my underwear drawer.  And I will definitely be ordering a matching navy triangle bra once they are released. And maybe even buying a burgundy set too.

The Elevated Emma high-rise style was too long on my short torso, so I won’t be ordering this style in future – but it was amazing to try them out. Despite the fit not being perfect on me, they were still super comfy. I’m sure these will be fabulous on my longer torso ladies though.
