Holywell House Care Centre has been proudly digging, planting, and pruning its way into the hearts of the community as part of this year’s Holywell in Bloom, a local initiative under the wider Northumbria in Bloom campaign. With a shared passion for gardening and a deep sense of pride in their home, residents and staff came together to create something truly special.
Its beautiful memorial garden also captured the attention of judges and visitors alike, where the home has been invited to take part in a special category in next year’s Northumbria in Bloom competition, a testament to the impact and beauty of their garden.
The garden, lovingly designed and maintained by residents, staff, and volunteers, is more than just a collection of flowers – it’s a space of reflection, remembrance, and community spirit. Featuring vibrant floral displays, peaceful seating areas, and thoughtful tributes, the garden has become a cherished part of Holywell House and a symbol of the care and creativity that thrives within its walls.
The team will find out the results of this year’s entry in September, and anticipation is already blooming!
As the community awaits the results, one thing is already clear, Holywell House has planted more than flowers. It has sown seeds of connection, pride, and lasting beauty.
Stay tuned for updates in September, and in the meantime, feel free to stop by and admire the garden in full bloom!
