Residents from Cramlington House recently enjoyed a delightful day out at their local Plantsplus Garden Centre in Seaton Burn, where nature, animals, and community spirit came together.
Residents strolled through vibrant floral displays, admired lush greenery, and took in the sweet scents of blooming plants. From cheerful pansies to towering ferns, the garden centre offered a feast for the senses and plenty of inspiration for green-fingered enthusiasts.
But it wasn’t just the plants that stole the show. The garden centre’s pet section proved to be a highlight of the trip. Residents were enchanted by the playful antics of rabbits, guinea pigs, tropical fish, and chirping birds. Smiles lit up faces as they watched the animals and fish, reminiscing about their own pets and sharing stories with one another over a cup of tea in the on-site cafe.
The outing was part of Cramlington House’s ongoing commitment to providing enriching experiences that connect residents with the wider community and the natural world. Days like these offer more than just a change of scenery, they spark joy, conversation, and a sense of wonder.
A big thank you to the team at Plantsplus for their warm welcome and to our staff for making the day so special. We’re already looking forward to our next outing!
