Aqours Documentary Premieres in Japan — Celebrating 10 Years of Love Live! Sunshine!!


Just one day before its theatrical debut in Japan, the Love Live! The franchise’s official YouTube channel released a brand-new trailer for the upcoming Aqours Documentary, a feature-length film centered on the beloved nine-member voice actor unit from Love Live! Sunshine!!.

The documentary reflects on Aqours’ ten-year journey since their formation in 2015. Through rare archival footage and intimate interviews recorded in the three months leading up to their final solo concert, the film captures the members’ emotions, struggles, and reflections as they close this chapter of their careers.

As Aqours’ first and final documentary movie, the film will open in 111 theaters across Japan on September 26, 2025.

Aqours was introduced as the second major voice actor unit in the Love Live! franchise, following μ’s. The group officially formed on June 30, 2015, and consists of:

  • Anju Inami (Chika Takami)
  • Rikako Aida (Riko Sakurauchi)
  • Shuka Saito (You Watanabe)
  • Aika Kobayashi (Yoshiko Tsushima)
  • Kanako Takatsuki (Hanamaru Kunikida)

Over the years, Aqours has performed countless concerts, music releases, and live events, building a loyal fanbase worldwide.

Their last solo concert, Love Live! Sunshine!! Aqours Final LoveLive! ~Eikyu Stage~ was held on June 21–22, 2025, at the Belluna Dome in Saitama Prefecture. This marked the last time all nine members shared the stage, making the documentary a heartfelt send-off for fans who have followed them since the beginning.
