Voice actress Atsumi Tanezaki, known for her roles as Frieren in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End and Anya Forger in SPY×FAMILY, will be scaling back some of her professional activities due to health concerns.
Her agency issued a statement on July 1, 2025, revealing that the decision was made to prioritize her recovery.
According to the statement, Tanezaki had been working under medical supervision since last year. However, following a recent decline in her health, both she and her doctors determined it was necessary to temporarily limit her schedule.
The agency apologized for any concern or inconvenience caused and assured fans that her focus is now on getting better.

Regarding our talent, Atsumi Tanezaki, she has been working under the guidance of her doctor since last year. However, due to a recent decline in her health, we have decided it is best for her to prioritize recovery for the time being and restrict some of her activities.
We deeply apologize to all the fans and those involved for the concern and inconvenience this may cause. She will do her best to recover as soon as possible, and we kindly ask for your understanding.
Shortly after the official announcement, Tanezaki addressed the situation on her X account.
She confirmed that she would be reducing her workload temporarily and taking a break from posting on social media. While acknowledging her continued involvement in ongoing projects, she expressed gratitude for the concern shown by fans and asked them not to worry.
