On the 31st of October, the usually tranquil home of West Farm Care Centre was transformed into a vibrant and eerie wonderland as residents and staff gathered for a joyful Halloween party. The annual celebration is fast becoming a highlight of the centre’s social calendar, and this year’s festivities were certainly no exception. With the communal rooms adorned in festive fayre, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement and anticipation throughout the day.
No Halloween party would be complete without an array of creative costumes and masks, and the residents of West Farm truly embraced the spirit of the season. From classic witches and mischievous Mummies, the variety of outfits on display was a true feast for the eyes. Staff joined in wholeheartedly, donning their own costumes and sharing plenty of laughs with residents as they paraded their spooky ensembles around the lounge.
After the costume parade, everyone was invited to indulge in a special Halloween-themed afternoon tea.
The highlight of the afternoon was undoubtedly the spooktacular disco. Staff turned DJs for the day, spinning classic tunes and spooky favourites that set toes tapping and got everyone up on their feet. The dancefloor was soon filled with witches twirling, skeletons shaking their bones, and even a few mischievous monsters busting out their best moves. For those less inclined to dance, simply watching the merriment and soaking up the lively atmosphere was a treat in itself. It was heartwarming to see such joy and energy filling the room, as barriers between staff and residents melted away in the spirit of celebration.
Here’s to many more spooktacular parties in the years to come!
