Those are some braids.
This season, I dropped Kabushiki Gaisha Magi Lumiere (Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. or Magilumiere Co. Ltd.) after four episodes, Mahoutsukai ni Narenakatta Onnanoko no Hanashi. (A Story of a Girl that was Unable to Become a Mage or Mahonare) after two episodes, NegaPosi Angler after two episodes, and Kimi wa Meido-sama. (You are Ms. Servant.) after one episode. None of these anime were necessarily bad, but I didn’t like them enough to continue watching. Mahonare is probably the best show of these four. It looks nice and it’s got Hocchan in it, so it sounds nice too. It wasn’t enough, though.
I did appreciate Hana’s hair.
NegaPosi Angler is an original anime with a fair amount of care and effort put into it (except for all the 3DCG fish, I guess), but I tired of the lead dude quickly. I understand that it’s necessary to start some guys out really low in order to provide more room for significant character growth, but I simply had no interest in spending time with a putz like him.
The economics involved with this industry also made no sense at all.
An anime about magikal girls as a business is an amusing concept, but I got sort of tired of it. From what I’ve read on the Twitter, other people who continued watching Magilumiere after I stopped are not tremendously enthused about the show either.
This probably seems more cute if you’re new to gap moé.
I only bothered with Kimi wa Meido-sama. because Ueda Reina voices the maid. The premise reminded me enough of Mahoromatic that I concluded I would rather rewatch Mahoromatic instead, but I didn’t end up doing that either.
