It occurs to me Sakura Ayane is attached to half the shows I dropped.
There wasn’t really anything wrong with SAKAMOTO DAYS, but it only took two episodes before I decided I didn’t feel like watching more of it. Accordingly, it’s the “best” series that I dropped. In contrast, the other three shows I stopped following during the Winter 2025 season all had some aspect that discouraged me from continuing.
You’re probably sitting too close to those monitors, doc.
In the case of Ameku Takao no Suiri Karte (Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective or Ameku Takao’s Detective Karte), I mostly found Dr. Ameku rather unpleasant. That wouldn’t have been a deal-breaker by itself, but there were entirely too many contrivances and unintentionally (?) silly aspects (e.g., quarreling inside a burning building instead of escaping) that I didn’t enjoy. I watched six episodes, but that includes a multi-part arc that’s to blame for most of the aforementioned problems.
Is it lazy to make all the swords look the same?
On the other hand, Guild no Uketsukejou desu ga, Zangyou wa Iya nanode Boss wo Solo Tobatsu Shiyou to Omoimasu (I May Be a Guild Receptionist, But I’ll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time) wasn’t silly enough. It started out all right, but quickly came to resemble a standard stereotypical JRPG-adjacent fantasy anime instead of being a parody of them. I didn’t exactly plan to drop it after four episodes, but I still haven’t worked up enough interest to start episode five and no longer expect to at this point. I did sort of appreciate that Alina was, in fact, not very good at her job and probably could have avoided the excess overtime that she hated simply by being more proficient, though.
I think it’s weird that you’re still wearing a tie.
There are a lot of reasons why someone might not like Momentary Lily, most of which relate to the infamous visual styles GoHands tends to use for its anime. I admit I find the fight scenes entirely too busy to appreciate, but most of what I disliked about Momentary Lily had to do with more conventional problems. I still made it five episodes, but that was more than enough. I never hated it, but Momentary Lily is WORSE THAN COSPRAYERS.
