Most of the automobile companies have shared their September 2025 sales report. Some of the companies has reported record sales due to GST rate cut while others continues to see decline.

Tata Motors passenger vehicles record 10% sales surge in Q2 FY26, EV sales rise 59%
Tata Motors Passenger vehicle Ltd posted a strong performance in the second quarter of FY26, selling 1,44,397 passenger vehicles, up from 1,30,753 units a years ago. This marks a 10 per cent year-on-year surge, driving by rising demand for electric vehicles and steady contributions from international markets, Tata Motors said in a press release. Read more

Toyota sales surge 16% in September
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) reported strong sales in September, with 31,091 units sold that is marking a 16 per cent rise compared to 26,847 units in the same month last year. Out of this total, 27,089 units were sold in the domestic market, while 4,002 units were exported, company said in the release.
For the first six months of the current financial year (April–September 2025), the firm has achieved cumulative sales of 1,84,959 units, a 14 per cent increase from 1,62,623 units in the same period (April-September 2024) of FY24. Read moreÂ
Hyundai reports all-time high SUV sales in India
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) on Wednesday, October 1, reported that SUVs contributed the highest ever to its monthly sales in September. The company attributed this to GST 2.0 reforms, festive demand and strong customer interest.
Automaker sold a total of 70,347 units in September 2025, which includes 51,547 units in the domestic market and 18,800 units in exports. This represents a growth of 10 per cent over 64,201 units sold in September 2024. Read moreÂ
Hero MotoCorp Exports Up 95%
Hero MotoCorp’s total sales was up 7.9 per cent at 6.87 lakh units. The automobile company’s exports increased 95 per cent at 39,638 units.Â

Nissan Motor India
- Total consolidated sales of 10,500 units for September 2025, up 9.3% YoY from 9,629 units in September 2024

Kia India
Kia India, a leading mass premium carmaker, has reported sales of 22,700 units in September 2025, marking a 15.8% growth compared to the 19,608 units sold in August 2025.
The company has recorded a strong growth in Year-To-Date sales with 206,582 units sold in 2025 so far compared to 192,690 units during the same period last year, reporting 7.2% growth.
The recent GST reforms, which have simplified taxation and provided financial benefits for buyers, coupled with the onset of the festive season, have strengthened customer sentiment, driving higher demand for Kia’s product portfolio. The Sonet, Carens, Carens Clavis, Seltos, Syros, and Carnival have continued to resonate with customers seeking comfort, innovation, and segment-best features.
JSW MG Motor India
JSW MG Motor India reported monthly sales of 6728 units in September 2025, reflecting a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 34% compared to the 5021 units sold in September 2024. The company’s growth was supported by the recent GST reduction and the onset of the Navratri festive season, both of which boosted customer sentiment and provided strong sales momentum. Both ICE and EV models of JSW MG Motor India contributed to this remarkable achievement.
The recent GST reduction has delivered significant benefits to customers, ranging from Rs 54,000 to Rs 3,50,000 across MG’s ICE vehicle lineup including the Astor, Hector, and Gloster.
