Konami’s official YouTube channel released the launch trailer for Silent Hill f, offering both Japanese and English audio for fans worldwide. The game is set to launch on September 25, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Silent Hill f brings players to 1960s Japan, where Shimizu Hinako’s hometown, Ebisugaoka, is swallowed by a mysterious fog, transforming the once peaceful town into a nightmare. Players must navigate twisted streets, solve intricate puzzles, and confront grotesque creatures to survive.
Story, Music, and Visuals
The story is written by Ryukishi07, renowned for Higurashi: When They Cry, with kera handling creature and character design. The game features haunting music, including pieces by Akira Yamaoka, creating a chilling atmosphere that blends psychological horror with stunning visuals.
Konami describes the narrative as a tale of doubt, regret, and impossible choices, asking whether Hinako will embrace the beauty hidden within terror or succumb to the madness that awaits her.
Development Team and Collaborations
The game is developed by Neobards Entertainment, known for Resident Evil Re:Verse, with Motoi Okamoto producing. Konami has partnered with Bloober Team, developers of the Silent Hill 2 Remake, for previous projects, strengthening the franchise’s modern horror vision.
Silent Hill f continues Konami’s recent string of projects, including Silent Hill: The Short Message, a free PS5 title released in January 2024, and the Silent Hill: Ascension interactive streaming series, which ran from October 2023 to April 2024.
Silent Hill in Film and Upcoming Projects
The franchise also continues in live-action, with Christophe Gans directing Return to Silent Hill, starring Jeremy Irvine and Hannah Emily Anderson. Filming began in April 2023.
Fans can also look forward to Silent Hill: Townfall, a co-production between No Code (Stories Untold, Observation) and Annapurna Interactive (Stray), though Konami has yet to announce a release date or additional details.
What Fans Can Expect
Silent Hill f promises a fresh psychological horror experience with a uniquely Japanese setting, blending puzzle-solving, creature encounters, and an atmospheric soundtrack. With Ryukishi07’s narrative touch, kera’s creature design, and Neobards Entertainment’s development, this instalment aims to expand the Silent Hill universe while delivering a haunting, unforgettable adventure.
