Wizards of the Coast revealed the first few cards, showcasing striking designs that bring PlayStation characters and settings into the world of Magic: The Gathering. While not all cards have been shown yet, the previews highlight just how much detail and artistry is going into the collaboration.

Each card will spotlight legendary characters, key locations, or iconic items from Sony’s most recognizable franchises. Expect heroes, villains, and unforgettable moments from across PlayStation’s history to come alive in MTG’s unique format.

Secret Lair Lineup

Sony confirmed that the crossover will include multiple themed sets, each tied to a specific PlayStation property:

  • Secret Lair x The Last of Us Part I
  • Secret Lair x The Last of Us Part II
  • Secret Lair x God of War (Greek era)
  • Secret Lair x God of War (Norse era)
  • Secret Lair x Uncharted
  • Secret Lair x Horizon Forbidden West
  • Secret Lair x Ghost of Tsushima

With such a lineup, fans will get the chance to collect beloved heroes like Kratos, Aloy, and Joel—reimagined in MTG’s distinctive card art style.

The PlayStation Secret Lair cards will be available starting October 27, offered in both non-foil ($39.99) and rainbow foil ($49.99) editions. Much like previous Secret Lair collaborations with Sonic the Hedgehog and Spider-Man, Sony is expected to release bundle options that include all the sets in one package.

PlayStation Beyond Consoles

Sony describes this collaboration as part of its broader vision to expand PlayStation beyond the boundaries of consoles. Grace Chen, VP of Network Advertising and Global Merchandising, explained:

“We’re always looking for ways to connect our players with some of their favourite PlayStation games – that also includes playing with their favourite worlds in other ways outside of their PlayStation console.”

This latest crossover follows PlayStation’s push into film, television, and now trading cards, strengthening the brand’s presence across entertainment mediums.

With Magic: The Gathering’s Secret Lair x PlayStation sets, Sony is giving fans a new way to celebrate their favorite gaming worlds. Whether you’re a collector, a Magic player, or a PlayStation enthusiast, this collaboration offers a stunning mix of art, nostalgia, and gameplay.

October 27 can’t come soon enough.
