An anime adaptation for Atekichi’s The Strongest Job is Apparently Not a Hero or a Sage, but an Appraiser (Provisional) light novel has been announced and it will premiere in April 2026. A teaser visual, trailer, along with the main cast and staff were also revealed.
The main cast consists of:
- Hisako Kanemoto as Hibiki Manabe
- Shizuka Ito as Emalia
- Kenta Miyake as Claude
- Lamalfa Michelle Tateyama as Lilian
- Yukina Shuto as Vene
Studio Flad is in charge of the animation with Makoto Hoshino as director. Megumi Shimizu is writing the series scripts, and Mihoko Ogawa and Yoshie Matsumoto are designing the characters.
The Strongest Job is Apparently Not a Hero or a Sage, but an Appraiser (Provisional) anime is based on a light novel series written by Atekichi. It was initially launched as a web novel on the online service AlphaPolis in August 2016, before beginning publication as a light novel in March 2017 with illustrations by Akira Shigaraki. There is also a manga adaptation illustrated by Atsushi Takeda that began on AlphaPolis’s website in August 2017.
Alpha Manga publishes manga in English, describing it as:
Hibiki, a high school student who was suddenly transferred to another world, wanders alone in a vast grassland of a fantasy world where monsters inhabit. All he has are non-combat skills such as “Appraisal”! From a hopeless situation, he is saved by encounters, and his all-powerful abilities blossom! An another world adventure tale of miraculous reversal cheats burst forth!
