BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 4 was officially announced as soon as Part 3 of the anime concluded on December 28, 2024!
The 3rd Cour of the anime ended with an hour-long double episode that combined episodes 13 and 14. As soon as the finale aired, the series wasted no time and announced Bleach TYBW Part 4, which has been titled “The Calamity!”
The fourth and final part of the Bleach anime has revealed a 2026 premiere date, and the exact release date will be announced later. Most of the cast and staff will return for the final part.
Along with the news of the upcoming BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 4—The Calamity, fans were also blessed with a brand new key visual featuring Ichigo’s Horn of Salvation form.
Talking about the release date being pushed back to 2026, author Tite Kubo said, “I think many fans were expecting it to air this year, and I’m sorry to say it will be next year instead. Please wait just a little bit longer until then. I believe we can make it something truly great.”

What to Expect from BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 4?
BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 -The Conflict- was one of the highest-rated anime of 2024, with each episode being well-received by fans worldwide.
The TYBW Arc in the anime features a significant amount of original content that isn’t present in the manga, and Tite Kubo, the series’ author, has already mentioned that Part 4 will contain even more original content.
BLEACH TYBW’s character designer, Masashi Kudo, revealed that Part 4 will introduce new characters who never appeared in the manga series, and stated that:
“Up until now… And this was the case up until this part, but with the anime-only scenes… For example, Sensei may have had a scene in mind, but didn’t include it in the manga. This time, we’ll have more of those kinds of scenes. Those new aspects. I think they’re something to get excited about. I think even those who’ve read BLEACH back in Jump, even they will have some new discoveries to look forward to. Like new characters. Yes, you’ll definitely get to see some of them.”
This comment from the creator of Bleach and the character designer has fans excited because almost everyone felt that the manga’s ending was rushed and that there was so much more story to be told. With the announcement from Tite Kubo that the anime adaptation will be adding a lot more original content, we can finally expect a satisfying conclusion to this epic story.
And here’s hoping we finally get to see Ichigo’s true Bankai and an all-out battle against Yhwach! Also, no one would complain if we got a glimpse of Aizen’s Bankai as well!

At this point, there’s not a lot of information on the status of the upcoming Bleach TYBW: Part 4 because the 3rd Part ended only recently!
