Real estate developer Whiteland Corporation has onboarded two of India’s most respected construction companies — Kalpataru Projects International Ltd. (KPIL) and Ahluwalia Contracts (India) Ltd. (ACIL) — for Phase 1 development of its flagship residential project, Westin Residences Gurugram, located in Sector 103 along the Dwarka Expressway, according to a press release.
The total construction value for the Westin-branded residences stands at Rs 4,000 crore, with Phase 1 works worth Rs 2,000 crore being awarded to KPIL and ACIL. The project, a blend of global hospitality and upscale housing, marks a significant milestone for Whiteland as it moves to redefine branded residential experiences in India.
Kalpataru to bring global EPC expertise to Gurugram
Kalpataru Projects International Ltd., part of the Kalpataru Group, brings its global engineering credentials to the project. With a presence in over 75 countries and a robust order book of $7.5 billion, KPIL has delivered over 300 infrastructure projects worldwide. In FY25, the firm reported consolidated revenues of $2.6 billion.
“KPIL today stands as a leading global EPC company delivering projects that seamlessly combine scale with precision,” said Shailendra Kumar Tripathi, Deputy Managing Director, KPIL. “Our association with Whiteland and Marriott International will set new benchmarks for premium living in Gurugram.”
Ahluwalia Contracts (India) Ltd., with over five decades of legacy and projects across 19 states, is currently building 80 million sq. ft across multiple sectors including residential, hospitality, commercial, and healthcare. Known for leveraging advanced construction tech and BIM-integrated systems, ACIL aims to bring timely and precision-driven execution to the table.
“Our collaboration with Whiteland is about redefining residential excellence,” said Shobhit Uppal, Deputy Managing Director, ACIL. “We’re proud to contribute to an iconic lifestyle destination using the best of innovation and engineering.”
Westin Residences Gurugram: A global collaboration
Spread across ~20 acres, Westin Residences Gurugram will offer around 1,700 luxury 3- and 4-BHK apartments, aligning with Marriott’s wellness-first philosophy. Though the project uses Westin branding under license, Marriott is not the developer or promoter.
John Herns, Vice President, Global Residential Operations, Marriott International, said the collaboration signifies a commitment to “delivering a Rs 4,000 crore vision in branded living aligned with Marriott’s global benchmarks.”
Designed by top global names including Hafeez Contractor, Cooper Hills (Singapore), ASA Lighting Studio (Vietnam), and Bobby Mukherjee (Milan & Mumbai), the project will also feature planning and execution input from Vintech Consultants and Planet F&B (London).
‘Execution needed partners of global calibre’—Whiteland
Speaking on the selection of construction partners, Whiteland Founder Navdeep Sardana said, “This project demanded execution partners who could match the global design pedigree with scale, safety, and sustainability. KPIL and ACIL are aligned with our vision of creating world-class spaces through thoughtful design and precision execution.”
