Furthermore, the glasses also pack a highly durable construction, as they’re built for everyday wear. Plus, they also come with a protective case to keep them safely stored when you’re not wearing them.

Moving on to the glasses’ main components. For delivering their virtual screen experience, the glasses’ lenses come equipped with the latest generation 0.55-inch Sony Micro-OLED display, which enables them to project a 171-inch virtual display in a 1080p FHD resolution with 4 million pixels (1920 × 1080 per eye), a 57° field of view, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The glasses also feature new, ultra-thin, flat prism lenses that are 44% thinner than previous triangular birdbath lenses, making them capable of delivering a slightly larger field of view than that offered by the standard model (the XREAL One).

The XREAL One Pro’s new and improved optical display system not only dramatically reduces the glasses overall size, but also the amount of ambient light interference during use. Plus, it also helps reduce the image reflection sometimes seen on the front of the glasses, thus protecting user privacy.

Their Micro-OLED panels also undergo a precise color calibration process during their manufacturing. This calibration ultimately makes the glasses capable of delivering immersive visuals with precise ΔE < 3 color accuracy, which ensures true-to-life color reproduction with no distortion.

The glasses’ lenses are electrochromic, for which they also offer adjustable brightness levels of up to 700 nits.

Together, all these features enable the XREAL One Pro to deliver a brighter, sharper, and more immersive viewing experience in comparison to other AR glasses on the market.

The XREAL One Pro are powered by XREAL’s self-developed X1 spatial processor, which enables the glasses to deliver a native 3DoF (3 Degrees of Freedom) spatial screen that users can fix in the air when having them connected to devices with USB-C connectivity, allowing for truly unmatched immersion.

When having the glasses 3D spatial display enabled, you can choose between four different 3D spatial display modes (links with video examples included):

  • Anchor Mode (Native 3DoF) – This mode enables you to anchor your screen anywhere in space.
  • Follow Mode (0 DoF) – In this mode, your screen gently follows your gaze, eliminating motion blur as you move your head around.
  • Ultra Wide Mode (3 DoF) – This mode enables the glasses to project a curved virtual screen that reaches 310 inches.
  • Side View Mode (0 DoF) – This mode consists of a mini screen that’s perfect for multitaskers. With it, you can shrink and pin your screen to the side for a better view of your surroundings while staying plugged in.

The glasses X1 spatial processor also offers ultra-low 3ms M2P latency for uninterrupted gaming sessions with minimal lag.

The glasses can be worn indoors or outdoors under any lighting condition, are rated to have 100% UV protection, and are also TÜV Rheinland Certified for eye comfort and low blue-light, offering flicker-free visuals without causing eye fatigue.

Specifically for users with myopia, the glasses can also be purchased with prescription lens inserts to help prevent eye strain and headaches, which can be clipped directly onto the glasses frame.

INTERFACE / CONTROLS

They also integrate a built-in button array integrated on the glasses’ right temple for adjusting different settings.

There’s an X button and an Up/Down button located at the bottom side of the right temple, along with a Shortcut button located at the top side of the right temple.

Feature a built-in button array for configuring different settings

Clicking the X Button lets you activate the main menu, while clicking the Up/Down button allows you to navigate through the different menu options. Clicking the X Button once lets you access the currently selected menu, while double clicking it lets you go back to the previous menu list.

The Up/Down button also lets you adjust the screen size, distance, color temperature, display brightness, and lens transparency.

The Shortcut button allows you to switch between the glasses’ three levels of electrochromic dimming, which include:

  • Level 1 (Clear Mode) – This dimming level is configured at 0% dimming and is slightly shaded, making it ideal for times when users need to interact with the real world or find themselves in a darker environment.
  • Level 2 (Shade Mode) – This dimming level is set at 35%, as it’s designed to reduce the amount of light passing through the glasses’ lenses, making it suitable for achieving a more immersive experience while still letting you be aware of your surroundings.
  • Level 3 (Theatre Mode) – This is the glasses’ highest dimming level, which is set at 100%, eliminating almost all ambient light to provide users with the most immersive viewing experience possible in any lighting conditions, whether you’re indoors or outdoors.

CONNECTIVITY & COMPATIBILITY

Regarding their connectivity, these AR glasses can be connected to a wide range of USB-C-enabled devices through a USB-C video output that’s integrated at the tip of the glasses’ left temple. This includes iPhones and Android smartphones, as well as PCs, laptops, and gaming consoles.

The glasses can also be connected with most HDMI-enabled and Apple Lighting-enabled devices by using the XREAL H-C Cable (sold separately for $24.99), which allows you to seamlessly link the glasses with such devices like the Nintendo Switch, the XBOX Series X/S consoles, and the PlayStation 5.

Note that the glasses have no internal battery, so they can run for as long as the device you have them connected to can run.
